Deferral of Governemnt Loans

On Friday, March 20th, the Premier announced the government will defer payments until June 30th for all government loans, including those under the Farm Loan Board, Fisheries and Aquaculture Loan Board, Jobs Fund, Nova Scotia Business Fund, Municipal Finance Corp. and Housing Nova Scotia.

We are currently working out the details with the Province on how this will work as our loans are only paid twice a year unlike typical loans that are paid monthly.

But rest assured, the Corporation will not be withdrawing any funds from your bank account for your debentures that come due between now and June 30th.   Once we have the details worked out on how the repayments will occur with this deferral, we will communicate the details to you.

Please note that if you have a FCM loan that has a payment date between now and June 30th, Those funds will be withdrawn on the required date as this is not a government loan.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either Bob (902)-424-7172 or myself.   Stay safe.
